Atiaîa

Atiaîa means ‘ray of light' in Tupi, an extinct language spoken by native tribes that used to live in the Brazilian coast. The name was a strong inspiration for the visual identity of this Lighting Design Studio, based in Brazil. The radial blur effect applied into the typography represents the way the human eye perceives the surrounding environment through light: it focus on one point and blurs outwards from it. Using typography as basis for this identity, different crops originated from the logo represent at the same time our visual perception and light itself.
